lyrics
Ceding control
Drifting into a trap
External beings
Corrupting assault
Obliterating life
Denying all humanity
Invasive technology
Complex worlds, waiting to die
Through the deadness of space
You struggle to scream
No remorse
Heartless swarm
Dignity stripped away
Forced to suffer
All we've seen
Death of our species
Curtain call
The torment of the soul
Playing out inside your mind
A morbid gruesome toll
Denying all humanity
Invasive technology
Complex worlds, waiting to die
Through the deadness of space
You struggle to scream
No remorse
Heartless swarm
Dignity stripped away
Force to suffer
All we've seen
Death of our species
Wasting life
Rotting and decay
A billion years of dead space
Pray for your last day
Relief of death
Canticle of dismay
Eternal dread
They pump in more
The final dusk
The cosmic shore
Nowhere to hide
Fully in their grasp
Exploratory surgery
Rips your mind in half
Forced to suffer
Tapped into the vein
Overwhelming gravity
Dragging you home
Swallows you whole
Erasing the past
Oblivion, awaits us all
Embracing this tomb
Hold out your hand
Re-live your end
Over and over again!

i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter

Jordan Vauvert

The song structures say Gorguts by way of Ion Dissonance. Guitar tone says Gojira by way of The Red Chord?! Interesting stuff, a big step up from their last album. Ghuughra
